This CAT® head seal is a durable, static seal that replaces the O-ring and backup ring at the top of the cylinder. Its symmetrical one-piece design addresses common failures in cylinder heads with high eccentricities or large extrusion gaps, such as O-ring backup blowout and pinched backups. The unitary construction enhances reliability, reduces installation damage, and simplifies assembly. Made from 90A urethane, it offers high extrusion resistance and durability in demanding applications.
