Made from high-performance polyurethane, DHF wipers were developed for extremely harsh environments, particularly in the longwall mining industry. They fit standard D style wiper grooves. A special flap on the wiping lip, which covers the gland housing, provides extra protection against ingress of foreign particles around the outside of the wiper. Internal ribs on the inside diameter prevent pressure traps between the rod seal and the wiper and support the correct wiping of the lip.
